Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro for the Chinese market. Both phones are expected to debut in October as the world’s first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, featuring the same chip and better cameras, is expected to launch in the first half of 2025. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Ice Universe, has revealed a few key details about what appears to be the camera capabilities of the 15 Ultra.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra to feature 200MP telephoto camera

The above screenshots suggest that the tipster is talking about an upcoming Xiaomi phone featuring a quad-camera setup. The upcoming 15 and 15 Pro are rumored to feature a triple camera unit. Therefore, it seems that the above leak refers to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The new leak suggests that the 15 Ultra will have a telephoto lens with 4.x optical zoom and a 200-megapixel resolution. Most likely, it will be a periscope telephoto camera. The tipster further stated that Xiaomi fans can expect significant satisfaction from the advanced camera setup of the 15 Ultra, which offers extensive zoom capabilities and comprehensive coverage for capturing various angles.
Recent reports have been gradually revealing details about the 15 Ultra. A recent leak revealed that the device will feature a dual-layer OLED panel with a 2K resolution. It will have an ultrasonic on-screen fingerprint sensor for security. The device is expected to run on HyperOS 2.0-based Android 15.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered device is expected to ship with up to 24 GB of RAM. There is a possibility that it may feature a massive 6,200mAh battery. As per reports, the 15 Pro variant will be skipped for the global, but the 15 and 15 Ultra will be released globally.
